Mental Health Now is a specialist mental health consultancy working across all areas of mental health training and support. Our particular focus is on helping organisations and infividuals to understand and support mental health issues better. We are passionate about helping people to open up conversations on mental health.
 

Working with individuals

We provide a number of open courses which are suitable for individuals. These include a full suite of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training, as well as courses for parents designed to help support children with mental health worries.

Working with organisations

Our Mental Health First Aid courses focus in particular on the support of mental health in the workplace. As well as our open public courses, we run in-house courses for major employers across the UK, and have experience working in a range of sectors and environments. Alongside training for empoyees, managers and business leaders in mental health first aid and awareness, we also offer mental health and wellbeing consultancy to organisations looking to improve the way they acknowledge and support good mental health in the workplace. 

 

Dr Paola Carr-Walker, Mental Health Consultant
Registered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

Dr Paola Carr-Walker has worked in in-patient and community mental health services, and in the prison system, for over 18 years. She has carried out assessments and treatment for complex mental health and behaviour problems during ten years of working at Broadmoor Hospital. As well as delivering MHFA training, she now works as a Psychology Expert providing mental health, cognitive, neuropsychological and risk assessments for legal proceedings.

Our MHFA trainers are all highly experienced mental health professionals and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA-England) qualified instructors.
